DST Blog Train January 2013

Well Happy New Year! I hope that whatever 2012 was for you, 2013 will be better! If you are looking for the Christmas Kit - it's the next post down.
The Blog train is back on and the theme for this month was Winter Wonders. Do you all have Yankee Candles? I'm in love with them – they make my house smell so good-even when I haven't cleaned Winking smile. This winter they had a favorite things (you know the song from the sound of Music) and I fell in love with a candle called "Blue Satin Sashes"! This combined with the color swatch for this blog inspired me to create a kit based on the song. Hope you enjoy it! Don't forget there's lots of stops on this great train – so get comfy! I'll post the lyrics at the end for those interested. It's a great happy song to start the New Year with!

My Favorite Things
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

Brenda,

You did it again!
You have managed to take the blog train's colors, find your personalized theme with the song "My Favorite Things" and build a cohesive kit.
Congratulations on yet another job well done.
Keep up the great work!
Ed

Yesterday I frantically collected downloads and left a little "thank you" for you, but today I had a chance to "unpackage" the kits and I wanted to stop back by and tell you how much I loved yours! I'm an elementary music teacher and each year I show my students a musical- they LOVED Sound of Music (and I've always adored this song!). I loved the way you matched the elements from the song and your papers were just gorgeous. Thanks so much!!! :)

Hi Brenda, thank you for all the beautiful digital kits you offer. I posted a card on my blog using one of your older kits Love Birds on my blog today, you can see it here. Do you have a an online store where you sell your kits? I searched your site and can not find one. Thank you for so generously sharing your talent. ~Diane
