I got this comment on 4 shared from someone calling herself "M" and I loved it and wanted to share it with you.
"Thanks! I especially love water lilies because they are part of my Chinese name. My dad picked it because he thought it was amazing that such a beautiful, white flower could flourish amid swampy waters and hoped that his daughter would likewise flourish and always stay true to her values despite negative pressure she might find around her to not do what is right."
It's so true, when I kayak to the weediest, swampiest part of our lake, that's where the water lilies are the prettiest and actually where the original photos for these papers were taken.

Kel told me she missed day 9 of the SAS Download a Day. That was the file that contained the water lilly papers (one shown in my layout below) that I made the flower cluster to go with. Kel, (or anyone else) if you email me at brenda@edmascari.com I'll send you the zip. Just put day9 in the subject. I'd hate you to have a little lonely flower cluster and no background paper to go with it!
First of all I'd like to thank you for your wonderful comments, both here and on 4 shared - I know you've heard it from designers before, but it does make our day!
I have a little something for you today - it's an add on to my part of the SAS Download a Day (DAD). My 4th download which I believe was day 9 of the DAD was made with photos I took of Waterlillies out on the lake. I loved the papers, but when it came to extracting flowers from my photos I wasn't happy with the results. I was disappointed because to me that part of the kit really needed those flowers. I got a couple of singles, but was unable to get a cluster without losing too much detail. Finally yesterday I found some pix that were "legal" for me to use and I got the extraction. Hope you like it. The format is png and there's also a single bud for you. I put together a quick layout with a family photo also taken that same day so you could see what it looks like.
I left it a little larger than I normally would so you could see it.
HERE is the download for the waterlilly cluster and bud.
The DAD is now up to day 12 - so get in there and get this whole wonderful kit. Now available in the
SAS Store under SAS gifts.
Sharon from Texas left me a comment and said she was having trouble unzipping download #1. I tested it and I had no problem. Anyone else having problems?
Sharon (and anyone else having a problem) email me at brenda@edmascari.com and I'll email you the zip file - it's 2 background papers. I can also compress it more if they're too big and that's what's giving you the problem. You might want to consider whether or not you plan to print them and the quality of the printer.

Here's part 4 of my newsletter/blog freebie Summer Sunset mini kit. This is the final part of this kit. I went a little more muted this week as we're getting closer to real fall weather and photos and also Summer Sunset could mean the Sunset of Summer lol.
I sort of picked up on the SAS party theme and gave you sequins, bling ribbon and wine to keep the festive spirit going!

I made you a free quickpage out of the Download a day for day 3 - the plaid paper on the frames is from day 2. All items in this layout were designed by Skrapper Digitals (Sherah Kraan). All of the downloads so far are still up because the traffic generated from the Birthday Bash has slowed the site down somewhat. They will all be up for the week, so don't miss any of the huge, beautiful mega kit.
